WALKING GLITTERATI

Every girl needs a pair of sparkly, glittery shoes. My preference would be these pink Miu Miu pumps. I think these shoes would help my writing. LOL. Even I don't believe that statement, but they sure would be pretty to wear to a book signing.

ANONYMOUS...WHAT IF?

"Anonymous" is a story that claims Shakespeare wasn't the writer we've all been raised to believe. Frankly, it claims he didn't write one word he's been credited with. Here's a question: What if you never wrote that book that's been gnawing at you or hired someone else to write it for you, how would you feel?

CUTE GUY ALERT

Gerard Butler

I know it's been a while since I posted a "Cute Guy Alert". Recently, I saw Gerard Butler on television and was instantly reminded of one of my favorite movies, "300." I was also glad to hear there might be a sequel...yeah!

FANTASY LIBRARY

This is almost my fantasy library. All that's missing is a little touch of pink, all my back issues of Vogue, Bazaar, W, Elle and a cute guy reading me poetry. Oh and a small bowl of chocolate covered almonds. What does your fantasy library look like?

LADUREE` COVENT GARDEN

Images from Park & Cube

The Laduree` company not only opened a new shop in New York, they also opened one in Covent Garden, London.

Love, love, love French macaroons. This patisserie is the perfect place to sit and read a book or write one. The atmosphere is serene and romantic. It cries out for a romantic encounter or to be the center of one. I just might have gotten the idea for a new book. Now all I need are a few macaroons and an espresso to jump start the creative process.

Books, Books, Books

This picture is from the decorista blog. I think it sums up the life of anyone passionate about reading and/or writing books. Always searching for more knowledge, entertainment and escapism. Or it could represent someone who is very unorganized or overwhelmed.

As we mourn the closing of Borders this week, look at this photo as a tribute to all those people like me who have been paying their respects and money to an old friend.

I'll miss you Borders.
